Margin and Revenium: one records, one verifies and acts.

Revenium is funded, ships often and is ahead of us in several places below. The difference we claim is narrow. Its outcomes and quality scores are supplied by the caller. Margin grades the outcome with your eval, and acts on the result. On the pages we read, we did not find that on their side.

Last verified 2026-10-20. Public pages only, read that day. A page we did not find something on is a search result, not proof it does not exist.

Row by row

Cost per outcome

Different jobs

Revenium

Reports cost per job and per conversion. The outcome is attached by the caller: SUCCESS, FAILED or CANCELLED, plus a type such as CONVERTED.

Margin

Cost per outcome from the calls and a graded pass or fail, using the customer's own evals as the grade. The execution bill is included.

Value per outcome

Revenium ahead

Revenium

Ahead. A monetary outcome value in twelve currencies, audited corrections, per-job ROI and a declared before-and-after baseline. The caller picks a provenance label for the value. A Labs project posted 2026-10-20 separates model estimates from operator-set and observed values and withholds model-only estimates.

Margin

One optional field, a value the customer supplies. No customer has supplied one to us yet, so we compute none and say so. Without it we report cost per outcome and label it that.

Quality verification

Margin's claim

Revenium

A quality score exists as optional caller-supplied metadata. On 2026-10-20 we read 73 docs pages and 412 API operation names and did not find a grader, rubric, judge or held-out set.

Margin

A pass is graded by the customer's eval, through adapters for promptfoo, Braintrust, LangSmith, Ragas and DeepEval. No customer has run one yet.

Action: promote and revert

Margin's claim

Revenium

Spend rules that block, run in the SDK, start in shadow mode. We did not find a route, parity, promote or revert surface in the docs or the API operation names we read on 2026-10-20.

Margin

Promotes a cheaper route only at measured parity and lower cost, and reverts when parity slips. The revert is built and tested. No live route has slipped yet, so it has not fired on real traffic.

Full-stack cost

Revenium ahead

Revenium

Ahead. Tools, MCP servers, external APIs, SaaS and human review time are priced as events beside model calls. It also covers coding assistants with an organization-wide config.

Margin

Model calls and the customer's execution bill. Human minutes are computed but not yet in cost per outcome. Per-call external API and SaaS spend is not priced.

Billing

Different jobs

Revenium

Sells a billing side too: customers, products, subscriptions, invoices, payment gateways. Its own meter is priced per write. Observe is free to 100K transactions a month; Growth lists no base price, and the overage figure appears as $1.50 and as $0.10 per 1,000 on the same page.

Margin

No billing product. A pilot, then a flat fee that does not rise with your bill.

SOC 2

Revenium ahead

Revenium

Ahead. SOC 2 Type II. Its trust center says ISO 27001 is not held today.

Margin

No SOC 2 report. The security page lists what exists.

Time to first call

Revenium ahead

Revenium

Ahead for coding assistants: its own claim is one administrator pastes a config block and developers report on next start. SDK wrappers cover other code.

Margin

We have not timed this and print no figure. We have no coding assistant connect.

Where Revenium is ahead

  • The value ledger: monetary outcome values, audited corrections, per-job ROI.
  • Full-stack cost: tools, APIs, SaaS and human review beside model calls.
  • SOC 2 Type II. We have no report.
  • Funding: a $13.5M seed announced 2025-11-20 (SalesTechStar).
  • Packaging for coding assistants and a faster first connect.

What we claim, and what we do not

We claim one thing: records versus verifies and acts. Revenium’s own 2026-10-20 post says a model estimate is not an observed outcome and lists stronger outcome evidence as next. That narrows the gap and names it. On the pages we read, the grader and the route action were not found on 2026-10-20.

We do not claim a saving here. No figure on this page is a Margin result.

Run your own numbers

Enter what you measured. The calculator shows only what those numbers support and names any field it still needs.

Your invoice total.
The part you could test a cheaper model on.
Needed for cost per outcome and passes lost.
Its measured price per task divided by the current model's. 0.4 means 40% of the price.
From your own evals.
From the same evals.
Optional. Only you can supply it.

This does arithmetic on the numbers you type. It measures nothing, and it does not know whether your pass rates or your price ratio are right.
